Hello friends. I hope today’s greeting finds you in goode health and grand spirits. My apologies for my time away this week ~ I just needed some quiet time. I have a bit of news…. I am moving away from Substack. Like most things in life, we need to try something and see if it works for us and I am afraid, Substack does not. I do feel it is a great platform for many… writers, creatives, etc. and there is much to see here but truthfully, that is part of the problem for me. It is too much. It is too busy… I just cannot keep up. This older gal needs more down time to let her muse be heard…to let stories flow, and ideas form. I think I am just too low key for the busyness of Substack ~ I need the quiet, low pressure world of an olde fashioned blog which is why I am going BACK to my AT HOME WITH DOREEN FROST BLOG on BLOGGER. There is no pressure to subscribe, no pressure for me to upgrade to paid subscribers…. no confusion about what you are receiving or signing up for. Just a plain old-fashioned blog. Feel free to stop by; ~At Home with Doreen Frost~
I am going to leave this Substack site here for right now but please, feel free to visit my BLOG, over on blogger and, if you wish to follow my work and be updated when I have never offerings, classes, etc. Please sign up for my EMAIL newsletter. You can do so here; Vermont Harvest Folk Art by Doreen Frost. There will be a pop-up box, asking you to subscribe when you visit my website :).
FOR NOW, TO READ A BIT MORE ABOUT WHY I MADE THIS DECISION AND WHAT I HAVE BEEN UP TO, POP OVER TO MY BLOG AND READ TODAY’S POST. ~At Home with Doreen Frost~ OH, you can also leave a comment and chat with me via blogger. just click on the “leave a comment” under each post :).
FROM THE BOTTOM OF MY HEART ~ A HUGE THANK YOU TO EACH AND EVERY ONE OF YOU THAT HAS SUBSCRIBED HERE ON SUBSTACK (PAID OR OTHERWISE). IT MEANS SO MUCH TO ME AND I HOPE YOU’LL CONTINUE TO FOLLOW MY BLOG, AND MY WORK. ALL THE BEST, DOREEN
Sometimes one just has to explore before finding where they want to settle. Today's post sounds more like the Doreen I first met back in "the days of yore." Relaxed, and maybe a little fierce. But fierce is good in the rough and tumble world of blogging. While it's not exactly apropos, the line "if you build it, they will come" popped into my head. Just keep me on your list of followers, please.
