~Winter Break~
December 26th 2023
December 26th arrives shrouded in freezing fog. Along the river bank a loan crow caws as a deer forages nearby. I am seated by the woodstove sipping a rare third cup of coffee and munching on dark chocolate orange slice and bake cookies which is, of course, allowed the week after Christmas. ;) Speaking of Christmas ~ I hope everyone’s was all you hoped it to be. Ours was lovely indeed filled with all of my favorite things ~ good food, family friends, and our little man’s laughter.
Today’s photo…. isn’t this illustration beautiful! I received this beautiful book from my husband for Christmas and LOVE it. I’ve written the name in the caption and you can see the illustrator’s name in the photo :).
I will be taking a bit of time off, from posting here on my blog and will return on January 2nd, 2024 Wishing each of you a lovely week.
