Goode day to you friends. Tis another dark and crisp morning here in Vermont with a cool and sunny day ahead ~ perfect for adding some paint to three wee spun cotton pumpkins. I find I could get lost with adding the spun cotton layer ~ a little here, a little there, a little more here ~ I just love it. OH, HOW I HOPE their fibers stay after I paint them, as this is exactly how I want my spun cotton pieces to look ….lofty and “webby” for lack of a better word….as if I little spider came along and covered them in a cottony web. :
IN THE STUDIO… This morning after finishing this note to all of you, I will sit down with another cup of coffee and add paint to these little Jack’s then I will put a loaf of sourdough sandwich bread to rise, tidy the house, and then I have order to pack and send on their way. A busy and lovely day indeed.
What is everyone working on? What projects are keeping you busy, and content this week?
Enjoy the day friends ~ be well, Doreen
Good morning Doreen your pumpkins are coming along beautifully! I can’t wait to see them painted. Our weather today is warm before rain comes tonight and tomorrow with cooler temperatures in the upper 50’s. Enjoy your day working on your pumpkins 🎃
I admire you for liking spiders 🕷 they absolutely creep me out!
Afternoon came quickly today.
I am working on finishing a round robin project with my high school quilter “sisters”. We each started out with an idea for a patriotic primitive wallhanging. We each made a center…mine is appliqué lady liberty. Then
Then we pass them around each adding a border. I am putting Pennys with stars for the last border before I send to Nancy….two borders are plenty. Linda is hosting us next week for a fall blast from the past. We are all in our 70’s.
Life is good.
Have a great weekend. Lee Bowers. North Carolina
